Privacy policy
How we collect, use and protect your information, and the rights you have over it.
Last updated 14 October 2026
Who we are
This website is operated by Horizon Consultancy Group Ltd (“Horizon”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales under number 17223537, with its registered office at 2 Frederick Street, King’s Cross, London WC1X 0ND. We are the data controller responsible for the personal information described in this policy.
Horizon introduces businesses to vetted providers of payroll, accounting and marketing services. This policy explains how we handle the information you give us and the information we collect automatically when you use our site.
The information we collect
When you submit an enquiry through one of our forms, we collect the details you provide, which may include your name, company name, email address, phone number, and details about what you need (such as the service, your headcount or pay frequency).
When you browse the site, we also collect limited technical information automatically, such as your IP address, device and browser type, and the pages you view. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies, including the Meta (Facebook) pixel described below.
How and why we use your information
We use your personal information to:
- Respond to your enquiry and work out whether and how we can help — our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, and taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- Introduce you to a suitable provider, where you ask us to. We do not pass your details to any provider without your consent.
- Measure and improve our advertising on platforms such as Facebook and Instagram, and show relevant ads — where this relies on non-essential cookies, our lawful basis is your consent; otherwise it is our legitimate interest in running our business efficiently.
- Meet our legal and regulatory obligations and keep proper business records.
Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to make the site work and to understand how it is used. This includes the Meta pixel, which helps us measure the performance of our advertising and reach relevant audiences. The pixel may collect information about your visit and, where enabled, hashed contact details you provide, and share them with Meta Platforms.
You can control or block cookies through your browser settings, and you can manage ad personalisation in your Facebook and Instagram account settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the site works.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where necessary:
- Providers we introduce you to — only with your consent, so they can respond to your enquiry.
- Service providers who act on our behalf, including our website host, our email delivery provider, and the advertising and analytics platforms we use. They may only process your information on our instructions.
- Authorities or advisers, where we are required to by law or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
International transfers
Some of our providers, including Meta, may process information outside the UK. Where information is transferred outside the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement (or EU Standard Contractual Clauses with the UK Addendum).
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry information for as long as needed to respond to you and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back to us — normally up to 24 months — unless we go on to work together, in which case we keep it for as long as our relationship continues and as required by law. We then delete it or anonymise it.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your information, or to restrict or object to how we use it;
- ask us to transfer your information to another organisation;
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on it.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113, though we would welcome the chance to put things right first.
